If you're as big of a beauty nerd as I am you'll realize how easy it is to acquire an absolutely huge makeup collection. When I ran out of my old foundation (I was previously using Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hr), I decided to pick up something of a higher quality. So, naturally, I ran straight over to Sephora dragging my reluctant friend with me. She only agreed to come under the pre-arranged agreement I would spend less than 30 minutes and less than $100. After some initial debate I settled on Lorac Breakthrough Performance Foundation which after wearing for two days, I have decided I am very happy with!
When buying this, I highly recommend having a consultant help you with shade selection. Naturally my skin tone is quite pale with gold undertones so I was very surprised when the shade that matched closest to my skin tone was darker than I thought it would be. For those curious, I ended up going with the SMS 4 shade.
The foundation provides a medium coverage which I would say is great for normal to dry skin. The formula is very moisturizing which is great for my dry skin which gets even worse in the winter and my skin feels healthier since switching from the Maybelline I was using. This is one of my favorite makeup purchases I've made in a while, and trust me, I've made a lot of them.
